Totex was founded in Hong Kong in the year 1985. This establishment comes with a vision to create a value for the future.

 

Unlike many other companies founded at that time, the vision is to become an established leader in the portable power industry providing high quality and advanced battery pack and charger solutions to every industry that uses portable devices. Amid to the constant changing environment, we remain committed to the same vision that transformed Totex from a small business to an organization that employs more than a thousand employees in its 100,000 square feet manufacturing facilities spread over in Hong Kong, China and California.

 

From the humble beginning, Totex designed and manufactured Nickel Cadmium and Nickel-metal hydride battery pack for the replacement market covering camcorder, laptop computer, professional video, barcode scanner and transceiver before Lithium-ion gained popular. As forerunner in Asia to build safe and reliable lithium-ion battery pack, Totex transformed herself from a replacement pack assembler to an important partner to support top-notch demanding OEM that command high quality and technical sophistication built into the battery systems to serve the industrial, medical and defence science applications.

 

As the Chinese sayings, each wave of the Yangtze River pushes on the wave ahead, the quest for continuous improvement has brought Totex to ride on the wave of Electric Vehicle into the next lap of transformation. The knowledge and know-how cumulated over the decades have laid down a strong design foundation for Totex power systems and our pursuit for new knowledge never cease.  Not only our battery systems are safe, reliable and smart, we have won numerous design and engineering awards for innovation both at battery pack and product level.
